    生活方式

    周一从苏州回上海,6点半的动车,所以到上海还早。到人民广场后,想想就一站路,懒得换2号线了,就沿着南京路走到办公室去。
     
    说实话,我还是第一次这么早走在南京路上,发现一条步行街,每走几步,就是一群在早锻炼的中老年人。
     
    玩什么的都有,交谊舞,韵律操,羽毛球,舞剑,太极,扭秧歌,腰鼓。还有一种,我叫不出名字的,拿个球拍转来转去,要保证球拍上的球不掉下来,真是让我开眼界。
     
    两三百米的路,至少有15组人在运动,阵势是不小的。
     
    中国的老人其实还是很幸福的,无论城市还是农村,不容易寂寞。群众性体育运动,恐怕在别的国家是很难看到的。想想美国的老人真是可怜,70,80岁有的还要工作,可敬是可敬但也辛酸。

    My dad admires those old guys who are still working. Every time he saw those people, he would comment: unbelievable! This is impossible in China since even young people have hard time to find job. Limited opportunity for old people. Some people do have to work to get benefits like insurance. Hopefully we won't be that miserable when we get old! Anyway, US is only paradise for children, not old people.
